Bezier tool - when did it change

Recommended Posts

I might be going insane but, I have just started an illustration in Affinity Designer desktop and the bezier (pen) tool has changed, hasn't it?

I have been going back to Illustrator 6, since Adobe cut my cloud version simply because I prefer the pen tool. As far as I remember the Affinity pen tool was the same as it was in Flash (remember Flash)?

It was early morning and I couldn't be bothered with the desktop machine, I was in bed with a pot of tea. So I fired up my laptop to try Affinity again. Imagine my joy to find the pen tool now allows open paths - or did it always and I am having mental issues?

Might be the aforementioned  'pot of tea.' Yes it always did that.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

The Pen Tool did get some significant changes with the 1.7 update last week :)
