highball326 Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Seriously... What is the point of isolation mode if i cannot edit the object? The moment I click onto a child object the entire piece is made visible again! Imagine the pain looking at the demo piece 'A' and wanting to look at a leaf that is in the background and partially obscured. Say i want to edit the veins but when I click on one the entire piece again obscures what I want to edit. Now I have to painstakingly make hidden all the surrounding objects which takes minutes. Again, what's the point of isolation mode again? Sigh... Lutz Pietschker, BennyD, Aammppaa and 2 others 5 Quote
Aammppaa Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 There have been many requests to improve isolate mode. Hopefully it will happen one day. BobsDaubs 1 Quote Win10 Home x64 | AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 3.7GHz | 48 GB RAM | 1TB SSD | nVidia GTX 1660 | Wacom Intuos Pro
BennyD Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 +1 same problem here. When I try to isolate a group in order to edit it and try to adjust a child object all other groups become visible again. I thought they should stay invisible until leaving the isolation mode intendingly. Quote ___♥___ | | | | | |
Lutz Pietschker Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 +1 In its current implementation (1.8.4) isolation mode is only for "isolated viewing", which makes it useless for my work. chepulis 1 Quote
