km.au
Hi, I've imported a PDF which has a pattern vector fill. How does one create this inside Affinity Publisher? It seems this shouldn't even be supported yet it works. how.afpub
R C-R
The object has a bitmap fill, not a vector fill. You can check this by selecting the object & switching to the Fill Tool. On the Context Toolbar, the first item will say "Context: Fill" & the second one will say "Type: Bitmap." With the object & Fill Tool selected, you should see the control handles for the bitmap fill below & to the left of the object. km.au 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.5.5 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
ChristAlix
Hi km.au, just like RC-R already described with a "how to" as an animation and example png to the understanding. km.au

Well for a real vector pattern follow this tutorial, though you don't have symbols in APub as in Designer, you can use a copy of shapes or lines in APub instead. Affinity Designer Muster – Kettenglieder (it's the english tut version and from the mid to end part shows you how to do an own hatching pattern) Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.
km.au
Thanks everyone, I found it difficult to find that. Seemed a little buried away but glad the option is there! Thanks
