Since 1.7.0 I can't change the size of the inpainting brush anymore. I used my brush size shortcuts, but this doesn't work anymore. The keyboard combination control + option still works but this isn't a help when I'm using a wacom. Second: the performance isn't very good. I make a stroke and when the brush is a little bit bigger it takes some time to calculate. So it takes time to fix blemished with this tool.

I'm using MacOS 10.14.5 and a 2018 Macbook Pro with a eGPU (Vega 56).

Hello, thanks. There is no change.

Can you screenshot your Preferences > Performance window so we can see the exact settings you are using. A few other users reporting performance issues have had success disabling Metal compute but if you've already tried what Nazario suggested to no avail, we need to find out what is going on.

Thanks for the screenshot.

There are a couple of things I would like to suggest now:

1. Try changing Display to OpenGL. You will need to turn off Metal compute first

2. Install the beta which has some performance tweaks:

Hi Chris, thanks for your help. OpenGL did the trick. One problem remains: I cannot change the size of the tool (inpainting brush) with my brush increase-shortcut. Is this issue known and is this perhaps fixed in the beta?

What is your shortcut? On a standard Eng-UK keyboard you use the [ and ] keys to resize. For instance, my German keyboard has those keys on the number keys and the number keys are reserved for other shortcuts.

With the update, the shortcuts will have been knocked out so make sure you have reconfigured them.
