Hi,

I've been using Affinity Photo since 2016 and have just installed the latest version, 1.7.0. I'm a semi-professional photographer. In the Develop Persona my RAW files look very wrong, being extremely dark and very saturated. To edit them in this condition is impossible, I know this is not an error in my photography. If I then develop with no adjustments they appear more normal. If I go back to the Develop persona they are even worse than the first time. Can you advise please? The files attached show the RAW image (the dark one) in the Develop Persona and then developed to the Photo Persona, with no adjustments made at all.

Thanks, Sandy Gilmour

Activate the tone curve in the develop assistant.

BTW I would remove my email address from your post as this is a public forum and anyone has access.

@sandyg, are you developing to 32-bit? Do you have a HDR capable monitor? Have you tried pressing the HDR checkbox (if it's enabled)? Do you need to develop to 32-bit unbounded, or would 16-bit be suitable for your requirements?

As mentioned in another post, unfortunately Windows has two different brightness settings for SDR and HDR content, so if your monitor is HDR capable, Windows will choose a different brightness level compared to the UI around it.
