But I know I can get it at the Apple App store but does it make a difference if I get it from the App store or from the Affinity store? acb017 Posted March 22, 2019 Share Posted March 22, 2019 I bought Affinity Designer from the Mac store. I got a new computer and re-downloaded it from the app store. It is now asking me for a product key to use it. I do not have a product key since it was an app store purchase. I've already paid for it. Copy of my receipt attached. What do I do? Staff Patrick Connor Posted March 23, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 23, 2019 @acb017 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums The only version that prompts for a product key is one that is downloaded from the affinity website. Downloads from the Mac app store like you originally purchased will not prompt. The versions are not interchangable, sorry. But by going back to the Mac app store on your new mac, you can reinstall the app store version if you are logged into the same account as you used on your old Mac computer.
