SrPx
Second video : Although it's very different, both in AP and AD, my approach tends to be : do my dirty pencil sketch first in raster (ie, in the Designer raster module for that) , then ZOOM-IN for accurate ink lines for the final design quality. I have assumed that for now, till further improvements, in both apps is best not to do the fine tuned final INK art in the full canvas zoomed-out like you are doing. Also consider that will happen a lot more by fast strokes. Just ink in zoomed in, slower strokes, and for that, be sure to activate "line smoothing" , the "stabilizer" of the line, in the top bar brush settings. That said, some of the iussues you find is due to excessive smoothing or averaging that the software does. When detecting that, immediately reduce actually the stabilizer value, and/OR just work in amplified detail, zooming-in, not a lot, just enough for you to get back control. As the more area you see at a time, the more artistic control (and about proportions, etc) you have. This is why I recommed doing the rough sketch in full canvas, then fine detail the lines in zoomed-in. Now, in raster digital painting, imo is not such as an issue, if any. Is more for ink line-art. So, imo, try this. Do your sketch in raster, in the designer module for that, once you have your sketch (working in full canvas view ( I recommend so) or zoomed in, as u prefer). Then Jump into vector, Designer mode, and for making your ink lines, zoom-in a bit, and see how it goes. It's a matter to find the zoom where you have the nice balance of control and global view. Same with stabilizer, is a matter of finding your balance of fresh line yet well formed, stable line. In both cases, don't over use it, as the more freely and less in need of assitance that you can work, the better for your craft. Edit: I realize you don't have the stabilizer on. (still, you will find it useful in zoomed in or zoomed out line art, just for some cases. In others is best to de-activate it as you have it. For instance, I always disable smoothing/stabilizer in EVERY APP I use , when I'm doing pure digital painting, or fast sketching. Is not good to have it on, then. ) Quote AD, AP and APub. V1.10.6 (not using v1.x anymore) and V2.4.x. Windows 10 and Windows 11.
