Trouble with clipping image inside vector shape.

Having trouble clipping an image inside an irregular vector shape. I am following the instructions from Affinity Designer's help namely dragging the object in the Layers panel to be clipped on top of the object which is to perform the clipping. No joy I'm afraid as attempting to do this results in the image 'disappearing'.Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Hi iMatt,
Don't drag the image over the thumbnail of the shape's layer but over the area on the right (you should see a blue line/indicator below the layer while you drag it). See this video tutorial to understand the difference between clipping and masking.
