setting background color for affinity design

How can i set a color background using Affinity Design.

Hi,

for the User Interface you can change settings in the AD UI preferences. If you mean instead for documents, just use a base rectangle which covers your document (you can lock that layer if needed) and the fill color you want.

Or, for a background for a document, you could tell Designer to use a transparent background, and when using File > Export you could click on More... and specify the Matte color that you want.

If you use Artboards, you can set the color directly.
