Strange parallelogram on linear gradient

Recommended Posts

Just got the attached effect. Line for gradient plus dotted around to parallelogram.

  1. Add rectangle
  2. Gradient tool, draw gradient.
  3. Delete rectangle layer.
  4. Add a new rectangle.
  5. Select gradient tool.
  6. Ole - parallelogram appears.

Playing around with it, you can drag the dotted parallel line. After a bit, it mysteriously disappears.

Feature? Bug?

This is a feature, gradient now take into account things like rotation and shear and these handles are to manipulate that. But should only appear when you rotate of shear an object so that part is a bug
