Table of Contents

It seems I have trouble creating a Table of Contents. I am following the video, but I can't manage do to it. I have created text styles for the titles set to appear in the Table of Contents, and applied it to the titles. To create a Table of Contents, I click a text frame, then use the command Insert Table of Contents. It opens a tab in which I can check the styles of the titles I want to appear, but even when I check the right entries and update, the result is always "No table of contents entries found". Is there something else to do?

If your ToC appears before after the text frames that have your titles then you'd also need to check the box to include entries that follow precede the ToC.

Other than that it's hard to guess what might be the problem. If you could provide a small sample .afpub file that demonstrates the problem it would be easier to figure it out.

Thank you for your reply! The TOC being at the end of the book, it was only a matter of checking the "Include entries before TOC" section.

Is there a way to have the TOC refresh automatically when pages are added to the book, by the way?

You currently have to manually refresh the ToC at this point but it you go to export or print the app will identify that the ToC needs updating and give you the option to do so then
