thomaso
I might misinterpret the intention of the cursor position marker in a text ruler but since it does often occures with an offset, from tiny up to even out of my window, I assume it meanwhile to be a bug. It does not happen always but often. – Here some examples + the according .afpub to check: The distance of the markers one to the other remains the same but with an offset: > The markers offset can become massive, both to the right or left of the frame/ruler: Influence of frame width: 170192 text ruler cursor marker.afpub [ p.s.: It was discussed here before:https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/73921-text-ruler-text-cursor-marker/&do=findComment&comment=384885 ] macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
Chris_K
Hi thomaso I can get that with your frames but if i add a new one it is fine. Are you simply getting this just typing the text or are you do things like resizing the text frames at all? I think something like this may be causing the offset I've reported this to the development team Serif Europe Ltd - Check the latest news at www.affinity.serif.com
thomaso
@Chris_K, good point. Yes, it apparently starts to happen only with a change of text frame size (regardless of I change by cursor or numerical). When I set the frame size – after some changes – back to its initial values then the ruler marker and the text cursor marker have synchronous positions again. macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
fde101
I can reproduce this if I use any of the horizontal or diagonal resize handles except the one that resizes both the frame and the text at the same time.
