Gradients not working correctly in Designer?

Recommended Posts

Hi. Not sure where to post this but here goes. I'm having difficulty with gradients in both Mac and Windows versions of Designer. I have 1.6.5 on Windows and 1.6.1 on my Mac. I've attached two documents (one for each).

On the Windows version the conical gradient has such a hard edge that it's unusable. I can detect no difference between the radial and elliptical gradients in the other image.

on the Mac version I can also detect no difference between the radial and elliptical gradients.

Help appreciated with this please.

In OSX  (and AP) the radial has one lineal-"slider" but will create a "perfect" circle. The elliptical will also create a circle, but with 2 sliders for different X/Y = an ellipse.

However both benefit if you "draw" from near the middle of the shape... not from side to side...

Sorry but I don't know what you mean. There's just a blank square with a gradient added. Nothing with put the radial circle in the middle and neither radial or elliptical are working properly on the Mac or Windows.

Hi,

Can you add screenshots?

If you find the color1 | color 2 edge of the conical one too much, you can add more stops with intermediary colors.

You can add stops and colors and move the sliders to have specific results.

Thanks for the shots Wosven ... very helpful and I've sorted it out now :D
