WalterS
Opening a Canon (.cr2) RAW file (ISO 500) in Affinity Photo (V 1.6.7) results in corners that appear to be burnt out, as though by a bright lamp. The corners are black and then there's a bright white line that bleeds into the photo a bit. This is on an iMac running Mojave 10.14. It doesn't happen with every file. I can't predict when it will happen. The "burnt out" corners only appear when loaded into Affinity. They are not present when the file is viewed in Finder. It persists when I press Develop and are also there after I export to .jpeg. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HVDB Photography
Same issue in RawTherapee I think it's related to the wide angle 8.8-36.8 mm lens !! You'll need to apply a lens correction WalterS 1 Quote Affinity Photo 2.3.1 Laptop MSI Prestige PS42 Windows 11 Home 23H2 (Build 22631.3007) - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz 2.00 GHz - RAM 16,0 GB

WalterS
Thank you all so much for your input. Switching the raw engine to Apple in the Develop Assistant does the trick. Thanks again!
Ashley Hale
I have the same issue with a Lumix TZ90. It has been present since purchase as it turns out but it has only become a problem since starting to use my RAW RW2 files on Affinity Photo. The lens correction works but is a faf if i'm being honest!
WalterS
You can try changing the RAW Engine in the develop assistant (icon looks like a waiter in black tie on the toolbar on the right hand side of the screen) to something else. Do this from within the develop persona and try reloading your photo. Barring that, let Affinity know and they can include a profile for your camera in a subsequent update. Not on Windows, what the previous poster uses according to the screenshot. Changing RAW engines works and is available only under MacOS due to Apple's build in OS support for those.
