Do you mean you modified it outside of Designer (i.e. in another program)? What you ended up with doesn’t look remotely possible in AD!

yes it was modified outside of AD. The process involves a cleanup stage where the SVG file gets turned to geometry and then extended.
After that, there is a need for optimizing the result and cutting it into pieces (red lines).
Its mainly for exploring how much Affinity Designer can be incorporated in this process.
The cat shape within AD is much more difficult and I haven´t had much of a success yet wit it.

Ah you used Blender and subdivided it so you could make the cushion effect, yes?
