Suggestion: Write a short guide for new features when they first come out

Recommended Posts

It took me a while to figure out how to use (at a basic level) the new construction features - piecing together bits and bobs from different (Mac version) posts - and the new Isometric features are not easy for me to understand as I've not used that sort of thing before.

Would it be possible for someone to write a small - pinned - thread somewhere that would tell people how the new features should work? It's difficult to know if something is working right - or if you're using it right - if you don't know what it's supposed to be for or how it's supposed to work. It doesn't have to be perfect or lengthy, just a nudge in a few good directions would be enough to get people started.

I realise that this will all come in the Help in time, but some early adopters may find it very useful to know what the official line is rather than maybe picking up the wrong idea from disparate posts by other users (who may not know all of the details, especially early on).

That’s a great idea, Garry! Someone must have written a spec for the new features, and extracting the main points to provide testers with a summary shouldn’t be particularly difficult or time-consuming.
