Elluvon Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 So here's my question. The inpaint tool can be spotty if you're trying to do something accurate. For instance, attached is an image of a new doc I'm working on. I want to remove half of the subject, but if I use the inpaint tool I can't get too "exact" if you know what I mean. Is there a virtual ruler or something I could use? Quote

It makes perfect sense - thanks! But does anyone know a way of rotating the selection marquees - not everything that needs selecting is on a horizontal or vertical. For a rotated rectangular selection, create a rectangle with the Rectangle Tool, rotate it and then convert the rotated rectangle (via the ‘Selection’ button on the Context toolbar, I think — I don’t have APh in front of me to check) to a ‘marching ants’ selection. If you are talking about Photo, you enter Quick Mask mode (Q), select the Move Tool and rotate and adjust the selection marquee how you want. Quote Windows PCs. Thanks for that! It's more involved than the Quick Mask approach, but it can be used with any of the shapes. Alfred 1 Quote AP, AD & APub user, running Win10
