Vagelis
Hi all, I'm working on a little product label and I've added a 3D effect on the text VMist. When I export it as pdf it's pixelating the text. Is there something I do wrong? I've included the designer file and the exported pdf. Also I've duplicated the VMist so to be easier to compare the pixelation. Please keep these files confidential. Wosven
Effects are pixelated when exported, the same as the conical gradient. I would suggest working at 600 PPI for a better result if you need to print it later.
Vagelis
Thanks Wosven, yeah this is a great suggestion. I've exported it at 600DPI and it seems the problem is now sorted (file attached). Thanks very much. 1.pdf
Wosven
The result seems pixelated too, can you try modifying your document to 600 before exporting? Test2.pdf
PaulEC
If you're printing it at this size, I don't think you'll notice the jaggies. Come to that, you can't really see the effect anyway! Wosven
@PaulEC You don't think so but my printer told me it would be better when rasterizing text
Vagelis
The print size will be extremely small so this pixelation @Wosven you see it should be gone. Actual print size is 64x32mm I've also attached the file converted at 600 before exporting but it doesn't seem to make any difference. It's strange how the effect is getting pixelated but everything else isn't. @PaulEC I agree that the effect will be hard to be seen but it does make it to pop out comparing with the VMist above without the effect. Fixx
I would let the background gradient to pixelate (possibly place it inside a shape) and keep the texts vector.
