Staff MEB Posted November 2, 2018 Staff Share Posted November 2, 2018 Hi WalkInVerse, Welcome to Affinity Forums There's no controls/way for "zooming in" the curves graph. The only kind "awkward" way to do it as far as I'm aware is using the macOS accessibility features (Zoom) to zoom the whole screen pressing ⌃(ctrl) and "scrolling" up with your mouse to zoom in that area. For this to work you must have Use scroll gesture with modifier keys to zoom ticked in the Zoom section (list on left) in the Accessibility options on macOS System Preferences. WalkInVerse
Thank you and UGH. I work on a mac book and no mouse. UGH. Maybe a feature to add? anyway, love the app it rocks! I left adobe and use affinity exclusively.
Staff MEB Posted November 2, 2018 Staff Share Posted November 2, 2018 You can also do it using the trackpad. Hold down ⌃(ctrl) and swipe upwards with two fingers on the trackpad. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
dna89
I know this is an ancient topic but I'd like to reaffirm that this is a much-needed feature. I'm working on a night scene image (first pic shows the Curve for it) and the values are condensed in a narrow sliver, it makes editing very sensitive to mouse moves. The Picker function helps a lot, but manually tweaking the nodes is frustrating. An example how how this issue can be solved is the RGB Curves node in Blender; the node window can be resized horizontally and has a rudimentary zoom and a reset which allows for much finer tunings. The middle pic shows it extended to the maximum, the last pic shows it collapsed back to it's initial size. Is there a way we could bump this issue to a ticket? You could raise it as an enhancement request by posting in the Feedback forum. That's where the planners look for user enhancement suggestions. I don't know if this has been suggested there before. Tickets are usually reserved for issues that are Bugs, and this seems to be working as designed, just inconveniently for your situation. dna89 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. dna89
Thanks for the reply Walt, I've created a topic here, fingers crossed! 19 hours ago, walt.farrell said: I don't know if this has been suggested there before. I couldn't find anything when I searched and looked back on the previous pages... now we just have to see if enough people agree that it's worth solving.
