dna89
Hello, When working with images in very compressed ranges in Affinity Photo, the Curve values are are condensed in a narrow sliver which makes editing very sensitive to mouse moves. The first pic shows a range from an image I'm working on at the moment, as you can see it expands vertically out of the frame and there's plenty of unused space on the right where there are fewer tones. The Picker function helps a lot, but manually tweaking the nodes is frustrating. What I would like is the capability to either resize the Curves window to accomodate the information, or to zoom and freely pan inside the Curves window to find those tones that I want to affect. An example how how this issue can be solved is the RGB Curves node in Blender; the node window can be resized horizontally and has a rudimentary zoom and a reset which allows for much finer tunings. The middle pic shows it extended to the maximum, the last pic shows it collapsed back to it's initial size. Note that even though the nodes look crushed together on screen, they're still there at the information level. In a nutshell: Current state: Content of Curves window is in a fixed size. Small size makes mouse adjustments very sensitive. Desired state: Content of Curves window is zoomable and/or pannable. Mouse adjustments are proportional to window size. The Histogram window is resizeable horizontally and it helps somewhat, I'd suggest that all adjustment windows that contain a Histogram could benefit greatly from free resizing/ zooming. Thanks and keep up the great work! walt.farrell
