Option to turn automatic color picker off for brush tool?

Hi kjs,

I'm not aware of a method to disable it. Are using the Apple Pencil?  You should find it activates the colour picker if you do a long press with the pencil, might be easier to avoid while drawing if you know how it's activated :)

I don't have an iPad to hand so can't test this myself, but there is an option in Preferences to use touch only for gestures.  That may not help in this case but might be worth a try, it's the only setting i can think of altering.

@stokerg

Unfortunately touch only gestures does not work, Affinity Photo senses your wrist or side palm of your hand, mistakes it as a long press, brings up colour picker.

I have Apple Pencil & iPad Pro 10.5

I reported this last year, hope they get around to fixing it.

Well 2 years later and it’s still happening. Affinity you gotta pull your finger out with these issues and updates.The more I use your software the more I feel like I am part of a beta test. But if issues have been waiting to be resolved for more than 2 years then that’s just not cool.

Just came back to try using Photo 2 after leaving Photo 1 for this exact problem. Still super frustrating!

Ok affinity - how about posting a technical explanation about why this is not possible or why this has not been included in 2. Paying customers here.
