joe@HTS
I'm new to Affinity Photo and am trying to utilize the clone tools. When I click on the tool, I get a message to select the source panel. I've looked all over and cannot locate that panel. Help?

Try View > Studio > Reset Studio then View > Studio > Sources that will reset the Studio which may help you. If that doesn't work, quit Photo and start it up with the control key pressed down. When the Clear User Data panel appears, press Clear. Then try to open Sources. Quote Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions. firstdefence
I bet Neo could find the source panel lol! I can't think of a reason why the clone tool would want to use the source panel! The Clone Brush Tool can clone from other images (called Global Sources) using the Sources panel. The clone tool wants you to select "a source area" i.e an area the clone tool will use to facilitate cloning. You do this by pressing Alt + click on a part of the image you want to clone. https://affinity.help/photo/English.lproj/pages/Retouching/retouching_cloningHealing.html Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... firstdefence
Using the source panel is quite convoluted at first but its workable.
