pruus Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 I like to use helplines in Designer. The option does not work in Publisher, al leest i can’t activate them. Where are they? Quote
Staff MEB Posted September 27, 2018 Staff Posted September 27, 2018 Hi pruus, If you are referring to smart guides, you must enable snapping to see them (menu View ▸ Snapping Manager... or click the arrow on the right of the magnet icon in the main toolbar). Enable the options you want there. There's also local snapping options for both the Pen and Node tools - you can enable them in the context toolbar with these tools selected in the Snapping section (so you will also have smart guides when adjusting nodes). pruus 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
pruus Posted September 27, 2018 Author Posted September 27, 2018 Hi MEB, Thanks, but i like the AD style to go to te top ruler, mouse down and move downwards with a helplines to set on the document. This could also be done at the left ruler. So snapping is usefull but different use. A would have for me, APhoto doesn’t have this option. RickyO 1 Quote
Staff MEB Posted September 27, 2018 Staff Posted September 27, 2018 Ah you meant regular guides. These are also available in Publisher. First you have to display the rulers - go to menu View ▸ Show Rulers, then drag guides from them as you do in Designer. If they don't appear make sure you have Toggle Guides Editing enabled in the main toolbar. It's the first icon (looks line a white dot over a vertical blue line) on the right after the magnet icon (snapping). pruus 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
