asdfghjkloiwdjoiioens Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 It would be cool to have certain user settings (mainly custom color palettes & swatches) sync between the entire Affinity suite once released. It would save me hours in duplicating colors in each application ;) Quote
Hokusai Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Braceyourself, Currently, you can export your colour Palette from Affinity Designer and Import it into Affinity Photo (and I would guess visa versa). I agree with you, it would be nice if there was a way to sync them but least it can be done with a few clicks! Hokusai asdfghjkloiwdjoiioens 1 Quote
Staff MEB Posted March 27, 2015 Staff Posted March 27, 2015 Hi Braceyourself, There's no need to duplicate the swatches/palettes. You can export/import .afpalette files between Affinity programs. Not as simple as a sync but still a lot better than creating them from scratch. asdfghjkloiwdjoiioens 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Mr. Doodlezz Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 Hey MEB, though this thread seems a bit dusty I have the following question: I'd like to export my colour palettes on my Mac and import them on Win so my swatches are in sync. My problem is that the export only results in .clr files which – for me unknown reasons – can't be imported again in Affinity Photos on Windows. Am I doing something wrong? How do I get the .afpalette format? Help would be greatly appreciated. Greetings MrDoodlezz Quote

You could import the .clr files into your macOS Affinity app as Application Palette or Document Palette, and then export to get .afpallete files. Oooh, I see! Thanks for pointing that out, you're right. I guess I created them as system palettes. Thanks for your quick respond about this matter, owenr! Something to have in mind for the future. Quote
