toadpoker Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Has anyone been able to get the trial version of the NIK plugins from dxo to work correctly with Affinity on the Mac? I can get it installed as per the videos but when I start a NIK plugin it loads the image but hangs and locks up Affinity. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Quote
Staff Callum Posted September 19, 2018 Staff Posted September 19, 2018 Hi Toadpoker, Welcome to the forums Are all of the plugins not working? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
mikerofoto Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 nik collection by DXO won’t work with AP, you need the nik by Google. there’s already few threads regarding this plus one on DxO forum requesting the nik collection to work with AP and other software. here’s a link for discussion curio 1 Quote
toadpoker Posted September 19, 2018 Author Posted September 19, 2018 Doesn't sound promising but thanks for the info. Cheers Quote
John Rostron Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Most of the free google Nik plugins work, but with some quirks: You may need to rasterise first to remove any clipping. The plugin loads portrait images as landscapes. The colours within Viveza are not accurate, although the output images are OK! Multiple image HDR does not work. curio Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Add to that color space issues, you need to convert to 8-bit sRGB. Quote
