Arte
Indesign has the option to split long documents into books (if I remember the term correctly), e.g. a book per chapter, and generate the TOC and index across those books belonging together. It would be nice if Affinity Publisher would eventually get this as well as it makes working with very long documents a bit easier than having to use multiple unconnected Affinity Publisher files as well as allowing for multiple people working on the same long document at the same time by each editing a different book from the set. keken, Rylek and Jowday

jayellis
This is the only reason I'm not using Publisher. Jesse Covner
Jesse Covner
I second Jayellis's point. Publishers work in teams with others. Collaboration requires sending section out. It often means creating different variants of a particular section.
