Hangman
A couple of quick ones... Inserting filler text works great and is very useful, however it appears that whilst you can select the filler text and change its attributes, you can only insert the cursor either before the first charachter or after the last character within the text frame which means you are not able to 'edit' the filler text, e.g. to remove a paragraph space or to edit the text itself. Is this the expected behaviour? Re the baseline grid, on a 15 inch retina display (Mac), the baseline isn't visible when the document is set as 'Zoom to Fit' and smaller, it only shows when you zoom in, is this just a screen resolution issue or a possible bug? R C-R
Very new to this but for filler text, right-click in the text frame & choose "Expand field" to allow editing it as regular text. Chris_K
Hi Hangman This single selection is because filler populates the text frame dynamically as you resize it. In preferences there is also an option to insert filler text as text. If you go into the baseline grid manager there is an option for display threshold. This will stop the baseline grid displaying when you go under a certain zoom level, which is adjustable. This is to prevent the document being covered by the baseline grid when zoomed out so you can still see the content Cheers Serif Europe Ltd - Check the latest news at www.affinity.serif.com

The only thing I can find is a preference to use custom filler text instead of the default. Is that what you mean? Hangman
Hi Chris, Impressed, you pre-empted this... Yes, hadn't checked the preference of course and that works perfectly and is very useful... R C-R, it's in the General Prefs section... and now I at least know what the 'Display Threshold' does as well...
