Roy Mathers
Can somebody help please? I'm trying to download the latest update to my copy of Affinity Photo on my laptop (or, rather, the external hard disc attached to it). However, when I try to install it, it refuses and says 'Invalid path - it doesn't say what the path should be, no is there a way of selecting the path. I tried deleting the program and starting from scratch, but it won't let me do that. Has anyone any ideas? Thanks.

Alfred
On Windows, you can display the Properties dialog and go to the Digital Signatures tab (if there is one!) to check that the download is correct and complete: Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)

In that case, Roy, your download is definitely incomplete. Try downloading again. Roy Mathers
I've tried it five times, with the same result! If I could delete the whole thing and download from scratch, I would do that - but it won't let me (it just tells me 'Invalid drive'). Alfred
1 hour ago, Roy Mathers said: (it just tells me 'Invalid drive') It sounds as though it’s trying to access a drive letter that existed during the original installation but doesn’t exist now. Try disconnecting your external hard drive, connecting another USB device such as a flash drive and then reconnecting the EHD so that it gets a later drive letter assigned to it. If that doesn’t work, you’ll have to assign a new drive letter manually (which may be tricky, of course, if the error message doesn’t tell you which drive it’s looking for). Notwithstanding all of the above, there’s something amiss if there’s still no Digital Signatures tab in the Properties dialog. Roy Mathers
It looks as though it is looking for drive E, whereas the external hard drive is drive F and, as far as I know, always has been. I've no idea, however, how to change the drive letter.
walt.farrell
Depending on what you have on your external drive, changing the drive letter could cause a lot of problems. I don't think I'd recommend that. How did you figure out that it's looking for drive E, and can you provide any additional error messages, or info from the install log? Roy Mathers
When I try to uninstall the program, it won't but instead says 'Invalid Drive (E;)'
drunkrabbit457
Hello, I have a problem like that too. I have Affinity Photo already, but its an older version. I just bought Affinity Designer and it won't install. It just says "setup failed". Now i tried to update my Affinity Photo and it does the same thing. I need help. What can I do?
