Tony77
Hi guys, how can I align images of astronomical photos (milky way) to reduce noise.I tried with the stacking function but tends to align the landscape .... I wanted to know if there is a way to align the stars not taking into account the landscape ..... like a mask that only aligns the sky and not the landscape .Is there any function that does this? Staff Gabe Posted August 17, 2018 Staff Share Posted August 17, 2018 Hi @Tony77, I'm afraid you can not selectively align parts of the image when you stack them. What you can do is make a selection just with the sky, export it, and try to stack it this way. Thanks, Gabe.
John Rostron
This was also discussed in this post. Sorry about the bold. It appears to be sticky on my tablet.
