Boolean Question

Recommended Posts

I do love the Boolean tool.  Here is my issue. take a simple rectangle, make it red,  and a circle make it blue and combine them together using the Boolean add. Once they are added together they both become red. I want them to retain their colors. Is this possible?

Just group them instead

By Boolean adding the shapes you are (by definition) making one single shape which can only have one colour.

Perhaps you need to group rather than add?

Can you give a specific usage example of what you are trying to achieve? Attach a screenshot / video / file perhaps.

You can also make the blue circle a child of the red rectangle, which is a kind of grouping.
