BennyD
For adjusting font sizes properly we really really do need sliders with smaller steps, for example 1/10th dtp-point, don't we? Have a nice day Benny Quote ___♥___ | | | | | |
Staff MEB Posted July 23, 2018 Staff Share Posted July 23, 2018 Hi BennyD, Welcome to Affinity Forums If you press and hold ⌥ (option/alt) and scroll over the size input field you can increase/decrease the value by 1/10th. Pressing ⇧ (shift) instead will increase/decrease it by 10 (on Mac). On Windows the modifiers are a little different: Mac Command key = Windows Ctrl key Mac Shift key = Windows Shift key Mac Alt key = Windows Alt key Mac Ctrl key = Windows Right Mouse button Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
BennyD
»sigh« Not very intuitive but ok for the moment. I mean all those »hidden« features – you need a whole bible for this. Why not just the obvious? A slider, period. Quote ___♥___ | | | | | |
Bri-Toon
Sliders might take up room, but I wouldn't mind (Up and Down) arrows similar to iWork's approach. And actually, I would like them for spacing properties as well, but the current way MEB mentioned is still doable for me. Also, if you just spin the mouse wheel over the size, it works. By the way, if you are using the Frame Text Tool, notice that there is a point pass the bottom right of the frame that changes the font size similar to the Artistic Text Tool. Or, if you use the Artistic Text Tool first, highlight the text, and then cut it, then pasting it with another tool will put it in a frame of that previous size.
