Sunshine
I don't understand what to do with the Macros once I've downloaded them to my computer. Where do I keep them and then how do I use them? Thanks, Bill
Staff MEB Posted May 28, 2018 Staff Share Posted May 28, 2018 Hi Sunshine, Welcome to Affinity Forums To import an .afmacros file (a set of macros which one with its own steps) you have to do it from the Library panel: menu View ▸ Studio ▸ Library. Click the small menu icon on the top right of the panel and select Import Macros... To run them just click over the macro you want to run int the Library panel. R C-R
You might also sometimes encounter individual macro files, for example the Sketch Effect.afmacro I posted here. Individual macro files have an .afmacro extension (without the plural) & cannot be imported from the Library Studio panel. Instead, they are imported from the Macro Studio panel by pressing the button in the panel. Sunshine
Thank you both for your answer. Best Regards, Bill
GyroGearloose
Unfortunately the import via the macro studio panel does not work on my Win10/64 machine. When clicking on the import icon in the macro panel nothing happens. There is no import dialog or anything else. I tried that also in the latest beta version and it's the same there. I really like to try out R C-Rs sketch effect macro but cannot get it into AP.

Staff MEB Posted February 12, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 12, 2021 You're welcome. The only stupid question is the question that is never asked 😉 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
