I was really looking forward to the new version of Publisher. And I was just about to hit the buy button for the Universal version. That there is no well working ePub export is more than disappointing. What do you want with a DTP program in 2022 that can't export ePubs??? I have also been using Jutoh for years and will probably continue to do so. If there is no clear information from Affinity that this feature will be added soon, I will probably not update. This is really sad news 😞

No one expects trade secrets to be made public. But talking to your own customers and responding to their questions has never hurt any company. Quite the opposite ...

I also think a little more communication and information about future development would build more confidence. People who work on larger projects simply want to know how their tools are progressing. I would be happy to get more information about version 2.0 🙂

I really wonder why this is still a reason for complaints. I am a software developer myself and I am aware that changing the UI size is a topic where you have to consider many things. BUT: It is really really not soooo difficult to implement it. It has been an issue for a much too long time now. So please do something about it. It's not as difficult as you think.

In the meantime I tried to set my windows system settings to a display size of 130%. Unexpectedly that works for the Affinity UIs although everything else is a little bit big and some icons are a little bit blurry. Nevertheless, since that changing of the setting takes only a few seconds it may be a workaround for some users. It's not perfect but maybe ok until a better solution is available. At least it makes the products usuable again for me. 🙂

What does "Alt+Cmd+8" do on a Mac? I suppose it is not a kind of self destruction code or so ... ? 😄

8 month later now. are there any news regarding the (too) small UI issue? I really would like to kick out my Adobe subscriptions and replace the apps with the Affinity products. Unfortunately this is not possible at the moment because of this stupid UI thing. @the developers: If it helps I can post a screenshot so you can see how really really small the UI is on my screen. Or test it yourself on a high resolution monitor. Thanks to everyone who is working on this issue 🙂

I don't know if it makes sense to add another +1 to this thread because there seems to be no real response from the developers. However, hope dies last: I work on a high resolution windows 10 machine with a 32" monitor. I am 50+ so my sight may be not as good as that of a 24 years old programmer. Nevertheless, I would like to work with the Affinity products and I really would like to replace my Adobe and MS applications with them. The one thing that stops me to do that is the not really scalable UI. I first thought that I was to stupid to find the correct settings or something but after reading this thread I am a bit frustrated. More than the icons I find the menu texts etc. far too small for relaxed working. I could accept these restrictions if there was hope for improvements in the near future but unfortunately I cannot find any announcement or even a promise that this problem will be solved in the future. So if this helps in some way: Please, please make the UI scalable so that Affinity products can be used on modern machines, monitors and by people who are older than 25.

I have an *.eps file which contains a lot of small handdrawn doodles which consist of hundreds (or thousands) of different curves in different layers. I can select one of these illustrations by clicking on the outer line of it. Unfortunately all the curves that are within this contour are not selected this way. It is also quite difficult to hit these small areas with the mouse to add them to the selection. I am sure ther is a better way to achieve the selection of whole objects. In AP it can be done with a special selection brush. Is there anything similar in Designer? Thanks in advance for your help.

Unfortunately the import via the macro studio panel does not work on my Win10/64 machine. When clicking on the import icon in the macro panel nothing happens. There is no import dialog or anything else. I tried that also in the latest beta version and it's the same there. I really like to try out R C-Rs sketch effect macro but cannot get it into AP.

+ 1 I use all three Affinity products since 6 month now and I am excited about your customer support and how easy it is to access and try out the beta versions. I also like how often you publish new betas and pass the benefits of new functions and fixes to your customers. The decision to switch to Affinity was one of my best in the last 10 years 😊

That would be a dream come true ☺️ in the meantime a simple "normal" export would be great too.

+1 for ePub- and maybe mobi-Export 👍 I have bought AD and AP recently and have almost completely switched to them from Ai and PS. I would buy AP instantly if it was possible to create ebooks with it. Waiting for the next release and hoping this will come.
