Frank212
Hello, In AP, is it possible to script an “action” like new layer creation or loading a 3d lut to a new layer? Photoshop allows this and can be used as a way to integrate with other applications. If this allowed, is there any documentation on this? Regards, Frank
Staff MEB Posted May 1, 2018 Staff Share Posted May 1, 2018 Hi Frank, No, currently there's no scripting in Affinity Photo, only macros which should allow you to automatise some processes. Check those video tutorials to learn a bit more about their capabilities: Macros Macros: Equations Macros: Layer Behaviour Batch Processing with Macros Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
SilverHawk
When are you going to introduce scripts in AP?
Staff MEB Posted March 6, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 6, 2019 Hi SilverHawk, Welcome to Affinity Forums There's no eta for any specific feature - it's implemented as soon as the feature is complete. Scripting still may take some time though. Please check Photo's roadmap to learn about what's planned. alanGmedia
I recently downloaded some Affinity macros (Dave's Zone system) which include a pop-up control panel for several of the macros. I can record simple macros using standard menu commands but I can find no way to create panels etc. How did the macro author achieve this? I'd like to add that to a couple of my own macros, rather than having 6 nearly identical versions of the same macro just using different values. (Optional) To retrospectively change parameters on a particular operation, click the Settings icon next to the operation. This is useful for fine tuning your macros, or quickly creating variations (e.g., Moderate, Standard, Extreme, etc). 8. (Optional) Within the Settings dialog for a recorded action, enable the Eye icon to expose the parameter to the user (making it interactive) when the macro is run. Step 8 is what you want, I think. Although I'm still curious how Dave managed to create a full panel control for his macros! Thanks.
