efleda Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Hi, Please, can someone help me! I am a newbie where tech is concerned so I am not sure the ins and outs of this affinity photo software. I just purchased the affinity photo software just a minute ago. It came with a Free Macro Pack. Now I am stuck because the zip file I downloaded is not seen on the folder. When I press import macros as per instructions, the affinity file folder is empty. Please, any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much! efleda Quote

Dan C Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Hi efleda, Welcome to the forums! As HVDB Photography has mentioned, the downloaded ZIP file will need extracting before each macro is added. Have you now managed to install the macros? Quote
FRANCOIS BENZI Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Hello, Just installed AFFINITY (which seems very friendly user at first glance) and also would like to get MACRO PACK. OK to unzip, but where how do you import the macros. I guess it's in the AFFINITY program, but i can't find any window for importing. Big hug for your help. Francois Quote
Dan C Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Hi Francois, Welcome to our community forums Once you have downloaded and unzipped the Macro folder, in Affinity go to View > Studio > Library and then on the 'burger' menu click, Import Macros. See below: Then simply navigate to the unzipped folder and select the AFMACROS files. I hope this helps! LyricsGirl 1 Quote
v_kyr Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Note further that there are two ways to load macros ... *.afmacros (macros files with a plural s at the end) are loaded via the top menu View -> Studio -> Library panel and it's associated little hamburger menu *.afmacro (singular macro files with no s at the end) are loaded instead via the top menu View -> Studio -> Macro panel and it's associated little hamburger menu Dan C 1 Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
FRANCOIS BENZI Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 So many thanks ! My environment is in french and sometime it takes me some seconds to translate words like "hamburger" ;o), but it's OK now. Quote
