Alex_M
Every time I open a new image, the ruler units and tools' settings revert back to their default values. For example, I often use centimeters as ruler units, but if I open a new image it reverts back to pixels. Same issue with the tools. For example, in the Pen tool I set no fill and red stroke with 2 pt thickness, but the next image I open these are reverted back to white fill, black stroke and 0 pt thickness. So is there a way to keep them from reverting to defaults when I open new images? Staff stokerg Posted March 19, 2018 Staff Share Posted March 19, 2018 Hi Alex_M, We can't currently set the default units on the ruler, they will always default to Pixels at the moment. Same with the Pen Tool, we can't set a default fill and stroke size. I know the Dev team do plan on adding sticky tool settings and we've had a number of requests to set a default unit on the rulers, so hopefully that will be included at the same time. Staff MEB Posted March 19, 2018 Staff Share Posted March 19, 2018 Hi Alex_M, As @stokerg said there's no way to set the document's default units, but you can save the attributes of a shape/path as new defaults already: select the shape/path and set the fill, stroke and width as you want then with the object still selected go to menu Edit ▸ Defaults ▸ Save.
