warbler Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 So, I've chosen an elegant, thin font in my design. When I export as a .jpg, (top), it looks perfect. But, my .pdf rendering, (middle), fattens the font. I tried to convert the font to curves before exporting, (bottom), but it's still a bit hefty. Ugh! Any suggestions..? Alfred Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 It might be your PDF viewer which is making it look fatter. What is the font, and what PDF viewer are you using? Oh, well. I guess I can export to psd. It's big, but very accurate. Quote Artist / Affinity enthusiast Website | Instagram

MikeW Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 I used the Pro version first, then tried the Std. version which is used for the screen shot. AD on the left, Acrobat on the right. Quote
warbler Posted January 22, 2018 Author Posted January 22, 2018 Mike: Thanks very much for all your help. I downloaded Adobe Reader and, presto, it read the font perfectly. Ok, good to know. Much appreciated! Quote Artist / Affinity enthusiast Website | Instagram
MikeW Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Hi Warbler, Preview is fine in so far as it goes. There are other display issues with it too. So any time a pdf doesn't display as per AD, just use Reader. Mike Quote
warbler Posted January 22, 2018 Author Posted January 22, 2018 Will do, Mike. Thanks again! Quote Artist / Affinity enthusiast Website | Instagram
