ecdom1 Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 I would like to know how to make sure that the text I place will be a vector. How may I ensure that the text is a vector? Thanks. Quote
MikeW Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Text by definition is always a vector object. Quote
Staff MEB Posted January 3, 2018 Staff Posted January 3, 2018 Hi ecdom1, Welcome to Affinity Forums Text objects are always created as editable/scalable objects (using both the Artistic Text Tool or the Frame Text Tool). The text will be only rasterised if you export your work to a raster format (like JPG, PNG, etc) or if you intentionally rasterise the text object (right-clicking on it in the Layers panel and selecting Rasterise). Some features may also force the rasterisation of the text objects on export depending of the format you choose to export the project: for example some blend modes are not supported by certain formats, as well as Layer Effects which force the rasterization of the text objects they are applied to.
