I think the Transform panel should contain a numerical scaling option with optionally separate horizontal and vertical values. When doing precision work numerical scaling can be crucial.

 

Also, the Shear parameter doesn’t do anything here.

Yeah, shear's broken by the looks of it...

 

There are other options to scale things in the transform tab by % values and the like.  Check out https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/68-typing-values-in-transform-tab/?hl=transform

 

Not sure if this is what you mean, but the chain icon next to the W & H values toggles locking the aspect ratio together or allowing independent values to be entered.

yeah, I meant the aspect ratio thing (hopefully my English isn’t all too bad).

 

Great that scaling in fact does work numerically. The approach is a bit nerdy, though :-)

I miss transform tools in AD (comparing with AI). What should I do ie. when I want to rotate one object around second objects corner? In AI I can use rotate tool with Option click on that point and numerical window appears. Maybe there should be something like draggable center of transform point and it can be moved freely when needed?
