jackamus
It would seem that when a line thickness is changed the thickness is divided equally either side of the the blue centre line. It would be very useful, to a technical illustrator, is if you could choose whether to apply the thickness on, inside or outside of the blue centre line. Staff MattP Posted February 4, 2015 Staff Share Posted February 4, 2015 Are you talking about the stroke alignment modes that are available in the Stroke panel? These allow you to select inside, outside or centre alignment of the stroke. You can't specify an arbitrary alignment at the moment yet though - i.e. 30% inside, 70% outside
Staff MEB Posted February 4, 2015 Staff Share Posted February 4, 2015 [EDITED] Adding to what Matt said, note that Stroke alignment is currently only available in the Beta. Stroke alignment is already implemented in the MAS version. Only dashed-lines are a beta "exclusive" presently. Sorry the confusion. jackamus
That's a problem because I'm converting my Lawn mower grinder to a line illustration so presumably I won't be able to do part of it on the Beta version. Anyway its useful to know that it will eventually be included. Quote If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed! Rules are for the guidance of wise men and the obedience of fools.
