matt.baker
It would be useful to have an alternative bounding box mode that matches the text's path outline without the normal padding (the convert to curves version, but non destructive). Hovering over the text shows the outline for individual characters so I assume the path has already been calculated. The bounding box should adapt as characters are modified, just like the standard one. Default bounding box (extra padding and not aligned to the contents as such): Suggested alternative bounding box (still a text object, not flattened): Quote Highly recommended open source screen capture software (useful for bug reports). https://getsharex.com/
Dave Harris
I agree Art text should behave like this. In fact, in the current 1.6 betas it already does. Aammppaa and matt.baker
matt.baker
Well, so it does. Awesome! Although it does make baseline shift obsolete? Dave Harris
Baseline shift is still useful if you apply it to to some of the characters and not all of them. matt.baker and Fixx
