Is there any way to open photos with a pre-determined set of adjustment layers?

Recommended Posts

Is there any way to tell Affinity Photo that I want all photos I open to have certain layers, such as Brightness/Contrast, Black and White, Shadows/Highlights, etc.? It would save time having to add them, and for the ones I don't want to use, I would just uncheck them.

Probably not as an automatic function of simply opening an image. However, it would be quite straightforward to program a macro that would add all of those adjustment layers with a single click. You wouldn't have to set any adjustments in them - simply add them and let them stay at their default values until you change them. You could even turn them off (one by one, just after you enter each one) so that you can turn them on instead of off, as needed.

Affinity Photo 2, Affinity Publisher 2, Affinity Designer 2 (latest retail versions) - desktop & iPad
Culling - FastRawViewer; Raw Developer - Capture One Pro; Asset Management - Photo Supreme
Mac Studio with M2 Max (2023}; 64 GB RAM; macOS 13 (Ventura); Mac Studio Display - iPad Air 4th Gen; iPadOS 17

You can also save your defaults in the Adjustment Presets' defaults as well, so you can add them post-loading but maintinging your default adjustment levels...
