arechsteiner
I've noticed a behavior when moving objects while holding down shift. I would expect that holding down shift locks the object on an axis, but alas, small movements are still happening. I thought holding down shift is intended exactly to prevent this? Is this a bug or am I not understanding this feature correctly? I've recorded a short video to show exactly what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SMCSVoD4fQ Quote Enjoying Affinity Designer on Windows 10. Guest
Hi arechsteiner, Here on W10 the behavior is what is expected, the displacement is done in a straight line, the only permissible shifts range from 45 ° to 45 °, as expected. This seems like a bug on your side. Staff DWright Posted May 8, 2017 Staff Share Posted May 8, 2017 Hi arechsteiner, Do you have the same issue if you use either of the shift keys ans I am also unable to replicate the issue.
Staff MEB Posted May 8, 2017 Staff Share Posted May 8, 2017 Hi arechsteiner, Seems a bug. It should stick to the horizontal line. I'm having trouble reproducing this here as well. Can you replicate it in a new document with a similar situation? Any chance you can post your document here (delete other unrelated objects if needed assuming the weird behaviour remains) so we can check it out? Thanks. arechsteiner
Thanks for your replies. I've figured it out. The issue lies with the grid setup I was using. I had to turn off "Intermediate angles", now it works as expected. Original settings: Fixed: knowwonder 1 Quote Enjoying Affinity Designer on Windows 10.
