Hey all,

Is there a way I can fill my selected part of an image with a texture png I have downloaded.

I discovered I can set my Stroke to be the texture I have downloaded but not the actual fill.

I have created a vector brush using the pattern, but the results look awful, with the pattern criss crossing itself.

I also inserted the pattern and used cmd+J to duplicate it. This gave better results than the brush but with alignment issues. I could have worked at it and achieved my desired results, but the pattern png is tiny, and i need to fill a very large space.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hey MEB,

Thanks, I'll work on increasing the detail and size of my background, then I should be good to go using that method.

Hi MEB,

What's the logic behind this being tucked under the Gradient tool? (or, to put it another way, why is it called the Gradient tool and not the Fill tool?)

I never would have found it there without this forum...  But I'm glad I did... I was tearing out my hair looking for this feature :) Thanks for the help!
