  1. I have no problem at all logging into the affinity store, and have confirmed both that my account shows the valid V2 licenses and that my id and password are correct. It's the app that seems broken.
  2. Same for me. I just get "The Affinity ID or password was not recognized." I've confirmed that I have the V2 license and confirmed my id & password by logging into my affinity account. All looks fine from the website perspective. Apps refuse to activate.
  3. This is getting ridiculous. Any official responses from Affinity? I'm not on either Twitter or Facebook, and have no intention of signing up now just to get support on the $100 I already spent. Incredibly frustrating, as I love the v1 product and have recommended them to many, many people. I would love to try out the v2 product, but this is just fundamentally broken. What the was wrong with license keys that they had to change to this?
  4. I am using keychain, and yes, I have double-checked that it is the correct Affinity Store account credentials.
  5. I purchased a personal universal license through the Affinity website. I'm a long-time V1 user, and the V2 license is showing up in my affinity account. However, whenever I try to activate the Designer V2 app on my Mac, it just tells me "The Affinity ID or password was not recognized." I thought this might just be a momentary outage, but it's been more than 24 hours, and still the same error. Please help?!
  6. I have also not been able to activate my V2 universal purchase.
  7. Sorry for the repost, but this is supremely annoying, and has been a persistent bug since 1.7, and the previous thread seems to have been ignored.
  8. Just a note that as of 1.7.3.1, the grid issue described in this thread is still happening. I've also noticed that when rotating the canvas, the grid can become (or at least render) slightly off from the geometry that has already been snapped to it.
  9. This is a real problem, and especially bad because it also occurs while using the Apple Pencil. There's no reason the Pencil should be subject to the same touch target metrics as a finger. I've used many other apps with the Pencil, and they don't have this problem to nearly such a degree. I can easily touch a small control handle with the Pencil when I want to adjust the control handle. Other apps seem to be able to distinguish the difference...
  10. Just tried the recent update. I concur with @SarahT. It seems marginally better, but not fixed.
  11. @Lee D Can you please let us know if there's anything more needed from your end to triage this issue? It's a real pain-point for using the app for complex work. Has this been forwarded onto dev/QA? Thanks!
  12. Hi Lee, Quick way to reproduce this is: Using iPad with Apple Pencil, draw a square Convert the Square to Curves Select the Move tool and select the square Zoom the drawing until the square is less than 1/2" on a side Attempt to use the Apple Pencil to touch the middle of the square and drag it to move the square. Note that if you skip step #2, it behaves as expected, so maybe this has less to do with the Apple Pencil precision and more to do with the Curves/Move tool?
  13. I'm having this same problem. It seems to me that AD doesn't recognize the "touch" precision of using the pencil for these interactions. So if I zoom in far enough that the entirety of the touch radius of a finger resides fully inside the shape, then I can move it with the pencil. But if I'm not zoomed in that far, then the pencil's "touch" is still the same size as a finger, so it tends to select the transform handles of the shape. This is really disappointing and makes using the pencil on the iPad Pro really less useful than it should be. I feel like AD should be able to recognize the point of the Apple Pencil with much more precision than a finger touch.
  14. As described in this thread: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/15115-offset-texture-brush-normal-to-stroke/ It would be very helpful if the stroke alignment controls (center, inside, outside) worked on open paths as well as closed paths. As to which side of a path is the "inside" vs "outside", I'd suggest that for a given path that "outside" be in the positive normal direction, but it doesn't really matter as long as it is consistent.
  15. Is this anywhere on the roadmap? Paths already have an inherent direction, so it doesn't seem like it would be a huge lift.
  16. Is there a way to adjust the position of an existing texture brush normal/perpendicular to the stroke direction? With a closed shape, I can use the Inside/Outside setting on the stroke to get the brush to align with the inside/outside edge of the stroke, which is the exact effect I want. However, for an unclosed shape, these controls have no effect.
  17. I wonder if this is related/similar to my issue: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/13225-ad-whole-file-export-hangs-forever-el-cap-developer-beta/
  18. I like the new logos. As others have said, the Photos logo is the strongest of this new set. It took me a little while to understand the new Designer logo, but now that I've seen it as the tips of two pencils, it suddenly makes more sense. Perhaps some refinement to make that a little more clear (if that was the intent!). One thing I'll say is that in all three, the stray diagonal line extending from the bottom side of the triangle is extraneous and doesn't really add much... maybe drop that?
  19. Congrats to the Affinity team on the Apple Design Award!
