carl123
A couple of problems with searching stuff in the forums.... There was a couple of threads about fur brushes so I searched for fur and it said no results. There was also some threads about adding a border so I tried to search for border and it said the search term border was not allowed Improving the search function should help with duplicate questions being posted anon1 1 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Staff Patrick Connor Posted February 7, 2017 Staff Share Posted February 7, 2017 I agree that this is far from any good for now you could use the site: search of google - type "site:forum.affinity.serif.com border" and you get these results - type "site:forum.affinity.serif.com fur" and you get these results We are planning to upgrade the forum software from IPBoard 3.4 to 4.1. I really hope that the forum search facilities/results improve and the indexing is more in our control. resulting to google is only for those in the know... anon1 1 Quote Patrick Connor Serif Europe Ltd Latest V2 releases on each platform Help make our apps better by joining our beta program! Staff Patrick Connor Posted February 7, 2017 Staff Share Posted February 7, 2017 Turns out the search cannot search for 1 2 or 3 letters, so the minimum search is 4 (I've changed the setting so it reports the same when you look for FUR) The blocked words list is not obvious in the admin control panel, but I understand why HTML is blocked. Alfred
for now you could use the site: search of google Not only Google, but also Bing, Yahoo! and DuckDuckGo. Probably other major search engines, too. Thanks Alfred, do they all use site: as the syntax? Quote Patrick Connor Serif Europe Ltd Latest V2 releases on each platform Help make our apps better by joining our beta program!
