Designer Noob Question -- how to draw a straight line?

Recommended Posts

I want to draw a series of straight lines.

In other drawing programs you could often hold a key while using a pencil or pen tool and it would always give you a straight line.

Is there a similar concept?

You can do this with the Pen tool set to Line mode.

For a line which is perfectly horizontal, vertical or at an angle of 45 degrees, click with the Pen Tool where you want the line to begin and then hold down the Shift key as you click again to define the end point.
