Did I read/hear somewhere that if you buy 'photo' you can share it with one other person (or did I dream it?).

If so, how do I go about doing it?

You can find out all about Family Sharing at https://support.apple.com/HT201060. The important points are:

• Family Sharing applies to purchases made through the Mac App Store ("MAS").

• Not all MAS apps are eligible for Family Sharing. The description in the MAS says if the app is or not. (Both Affinity apps are eligible.)

• One adult must opt to become the "family organizer" who is responsible for paying for all purchases made by other family members.

• Up to five other family members can be invited to participate.

• Everyone must be in the same family.

• Family Sharing is not available for any app used for commercial or enterprise purposes, only for personal use.

• Typically, Family Sharing of MAS apps is most useful when each family member has his or her own Mac.

Does the family member have to be at the same physical location as Frank says?

I don't know. Apple doesn't seem to have any info about that, at least that I can find, so maybe contacting Apple support & asking would be best.

Here's the rundown on Family Sharing as it is today, from: Section D of http://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/us/terms.html

This is the only restriction left. The "Same Household" stuff seems gone completely.

"Family Sharing Rules: You can only belong to one Family at a time, and may join any Family no more than twice per year. You can change the Apple ID you associate with a Family no more than once every 90 days. All Family members must share the same Home Country. Not all Content, including In-App Purchases, subscriptions, and some previously acquired Apps, are eligible for Family Sharing."

I wonder what Apple considers to be the definition of "Home Country"? Citizenship, legal residency, birth country, maybe something else? For an Apple legal document this seems uncharacteristically vague.
