This is because you have objects masking the adjustment layers. The bounding box shows the area for the objects in the top of the hierarchy, which being adjustment layers are basically infinite so it seems to be confusing the app. I would recommend the adjustment to the object rather than the object to the adjustment, although this will change the visual so it may need some tweaking afterwards

Ok, nice to know it's possible the other way round.

Actually I use the masked adjustment layers to modify parts of a photo (applying graphics to a car) and create multiple version of it. That way I need the original picture only one time in my file, hiding or showing the layers I need.

It's a very nice way to adjust parts of an image an it's "nondestructable", so you can edit everything everytime over and over again.
