TomHH
When opening a Panasonic RAW (LX100) I can't switch off clipping control using the buttons in the upper right corner of the UI. There is always clipped areas marked in color. Works in version 1.4.3. Cheers, Tom
Staff Chris B Posted November 23, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 23, 2016 Hi Tom, Any chance you can send me an offending file. I've just tried a few RAW files from different devices and it seems OK. Staff Chris B Posted November 24, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 24, 2016 Hi Tom, Thanks for the file and screenshots. I still can't reproduce it after matching your settings though. Out of interest, when you click Develop, do the clipped areas remain after clicking Develop? Can you also attach a screenshot to see if your clipped areas match my own? TomHH
Chris, I had another try and this time it worked! The only thing I did between was encrypting my hard drive and therefore had to reboot. The times before I used the sleep mode of the Mac. Staff Andy Somerfield Posted November 24, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 24, 2016 All, I've heard other similar reports to this a few months back - and we could never get to the bottom of it! There *is* an issue - but it doesn't manifest reliably.. we'll keep looking! Andy.
TomHH
Hi Andy, next time it appears I will try to note all steps I made. Maybe system cache involved? Tom
TomHH
Andy, if I change the output profile in section 'Profile' in the Develop Persona I get highlighted areas in the image without clipping functionality switch on. See my screenshot. Maybe that points to the problem. Don't know if this highlighting is on purpose. Tom
Staff Andy Somerfield Posted November 24, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 24, 2016 TomHH, This helps a lot :) I don't think the weird colours are clipping warnings any more - I think they are artefacts of a failed / bad profile conversion! Makes more sense now - we will try to get this fixed.. Thanks again for taking the time to help us with this, Andy. TomHH
